Last semester, there was an older Filipino gentleman in my class who always made it a point to talk to me. I felt that it was because we shared the same culture and I understood what he was trying to say, even with his accent. I felt obligated to help him. I imagined my dad in a class filled with rude college students and pictured him struggling with this generation’s education curriculum....

Mistakes.
In April 2010, I was caught stealing from an Urban Outfitters in Tucson, AZ. $200 worth of merchandise was found in my possession. Cops came. The whole shebang. Needless to say, it ruined my life. I was given a court date 10 days after the fact and had to drive all the way from San Diego to Tucson to get it settled.
