In this day and age, infections spread like wildfire affecting anyone and everyone - even babies in a mother’s womb. Some mother’s pass infections and diseases to their babies that they don’t even know they had. Fact is, it’s a scary world out there (hence why I keep hand sanitizer, band-aids and disinfectant wipes on me at almost all times).
Many of you loyal readers are gonna have kids someday. I hate to break it to you, but by the time you have kids, the chance of YOUR VERY OWN CHILD having some kind of disease will be high.
A lot of the time, birth defects can’t be avoided. Those are just the cards you’re dealt. What are you gonna do? Leave your child to suffer incessant taunting from their future class mates about the cleft lip they were born with? Let them grow up with a brain defect from lack of care after being born prematurely? Let their vision worsen as they get older? Never let them get the full experience a beautiful sunny day or the winter snow? (Yes, kids are born with terrible vision these days). I hope each and every one of you said no.
March for Babies is a charity walk that I’m gonna participate in to help our future children and the children of today. I’m gonna help you, your cousin, your sister and your best friend by donating my time, money (and my legs). By doing this and I hope to reach my goal of $100 from sponsors so that more research can be done to find cures and prevention techniques. The charities associated with March for Babies have already found the gene responsible for cleft lips and they’re working on finding proper preventions as we speak. When the time come for me to have a kid, I KNOW things like this will help me. I want to ensure the health of my family as I’m sure you do too.
So, if any of you would like to sponsor me or even join me, my boyfriend and friends for this walk, please click HERE.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help out this dope cause. I know how much y’all care about kids after that KONY shit, get real. Lol.
Oh, and I set my goal for $100 only because I know times are tough. Haha.
